Hello and welcome to another B&W Wednesday. For today’s photograph I step in front of the camera. You now see why I stay behind it.
Today sixty years ago I arrived into this world, I want to thank all those I have known in those years. Also those who are only here in spirit. To those I have never met except by written word. You have all been great teacher’s in my life. So today I celebrate my life for you all. Thank you for helping me to become the person here today.
I would like to leave you with a couple of verses from John O’Donohue’s book ‘To Bless the Space Between Us.’
For your Birthday.
—————————–
Blessed be the mind that dreamed the day
The blueprint of your life
Would begin to glow on earth,
Illuminating all the faces and voices
That would arrive to invite
Your soul to growth.
Praised be you father and mother
Who loved you before you were,
And trusted to call you here
With no idea who you would be.
I have had a great sixty years, but with much to see and learn. I’m now looking forward to the next sixty🤔😂
Thank you all,
George.
Spotted this cat climbing a tree with its eye zoned in on a small bird sitting on the top branch. I went upstairs for the camera, looked out the window and it was at the top. Small birds nearby where flying out of dangers way. The following sequence of photos where taken from this point. I’ll leave the cat to tell the rest…

You’ll not be so lucky the next time.

Op’s where’s the stairs down!

Ok remain calm, you can sort it…

Right let’s see, how the hell did I get up here?

Well here goes, easy does it, sorry for the butt shot.

If I catch you, you’ll not be laughing..

Right let’s try this way.

Nope, got to go down and across.

Shit this is slippy..

another stretch and I’ll be safe. I think..

YES…..

Cross here, easy …

Right you bundle for feathers here I come.
Please be assured that no animals were hurt in this blog post.
Thank you,
George
This photo I shot a few month’s back at Salts Mill, Bradford. It was parked outside the church and just managed to get a couple of shots before it left with the wedding party.

On my way back home from picking up some decorating supplies I stopped of at Hillsborough forest park. Well I needed to get some air and a break from working. With the fine weather the park was busy and a parking spot was hard to find. I was in the park around 2.30 pm. This time of year the sun starts to set around 3.30 / 4 pm. So time to find a few shots on my walk around the lake. The low winter sun was throwing a warm light onto the lake and trees and I wasn’t the only photographer out and about.
Right lets get started.

Holly and cobwebs, the low sun back lighting and adding a rim light to the leaves and stems.

Blue skies and reflections.

The light breaking through the trees spot lighted these young ferns.

Sycamore leaf in its winter wardrobe.

I don’t know the name off this fungus , but if you were ever a Star Trex fan it might be call the Enterprise. Google it if you never saw it.

Mute swan Cygnet

Mute Swan.

A Cormorant taking off, it uses it feet to help it get airborne by pushing them against the water surface.

A more peaceful image of a duck silhouetted against the brightly light water.
Thank you for joining me,
George.
Hello, this week we are off to the Mourne Mountains, well Dundrum bay to photograph the mountains. With the moving cloud cover and the brighter highlights it gives a nice distinction to the landscape.

Thank you for viewing.

This weeks photograph was taken while taking photo’s of a Little Egret. On a bridge a photographer was photographing the same bird from a different spot. So my shot this week is of the lesser spotted photographer.

Dear photographer, if you happen to read this please contact me, would love to see your shots of the little Egret.
Comment’s welcome and have a great Wednesday.

We’re off to the roof tops this week. I noticed over the last few weeks a cat walking along the ridge line on the houses behind where I live. I got this shot when the cat decided to sit in the sun. I had only a small window through the trees to capture it. Just after I grab the shot it moved off.

Thank you for visiting and feedback is always welcome.
