Showing the colour and monochrome shots of the most stunning sunset I have seen in a long time. Got in from work and walked up the road to a hill over looking this small lough. Has I stood there the sky was changing , this was taken at its peak just before the sun sank lower over the horizon and the sky darken.

Thank you for viewing.

Recall

Recall

An old photograph in my hand
memories from childhood days
flicker like an old silent movie.

Days spent playing in the hills
fishing with worm and hook
adventure knew no bounds

Chasing butterflies over meadow
building tree houses in the sky
watching birds soaring high

Granddad rounding up the flock
Darkie answers his every call
Crouched down low moving to and fro

Blanket of snow covers the hill
time to play enjoy the thrill
Sledging and sliding down that hill

Now an old man with tear on cheek
not from sadness for times gone
but from the happiness of life.

A quick note on my 365

Hi to all who have been kind enough to follow me on  my daily trip in my 365 challenge.

For the next few weeks I can only post every few days due to a busy period in my life, but will continue to take a daily Photograph. I still enjoy reading your blogs and will do so and comment when I have an internet connection.

I would like to leave you with this photo taken off Lake Muckno in Castleblayney, Country Monaghan, Ireland.

Out for a walk in Donadea Forest Park in County Kildare Ireland, a damp day cool day.  A lot of families use the park, feeding the ducks, walking the dog having a picnic or just grabbing a coffee in the magical tea shop. So walking around the small lake I came across a tree, some might say it is a forest park and trees are all around. This is a special tree, a tree where the child’s pacifier/dummy’s goes when they are ready to give them up. Here is a photo from the Dummy Tree.

Think of all the hours off comfort on this branch, , I wonder if the children ever return to see the special place where they left it.
