The fly

Saw this fly laying its eggs in the moss on a maple tree. It seemed to follow this line of resin .

Tailless pheasant

Spotted this pheasant walking around my mothers garden. I got one shot before it disappeared over the hedge. It was only when I open the image I spotted it was missing it’s tail feathers.

Satellite

This satellite stood still in space it was me that was moving past. The fly on the flower head was black and yellow striped with the flowers a white shade. With no detail in the green background I liked the flower in space idea.

Forgotten Stile

Came across this disused stile while out walking, I love these old stone stiles and still think they should be in use. I recall one in the area where I lived has a child, every time I walked past it I had to climb it.

Ballynoe stone circle.

Was on my was out from the town of Downpatrick in County Down and I saw a sign for Ballynoe Stone Circle. Since the weather was fine and i was in no great hurry anywhere I headed out there. I took this photograph to take in the main circle and the burial mound. There are a few stones outside the circle which are not in this photo. The taller stones seen here are around 2 meter’s high and could date back 3000 years BC. I enjoyed the solitude of the place, it had a peaceful feeling around it.
