The old place.
First snow off the year and it brings a fresh look to the familiar places we pass on a regular
route. So out for a walk before the sun was over the horizon and got this shot of Magee’s old place or what’s left of it.

Out for a walk in Donadea Forest Park in County Kildare Ireland, a damp day cool day. A lot of families use the park, feeding the ducks, walking the dog having a picnic or just grabbing a coffee in the magical tea shop. So walking around the small lake I came across a tree, some might say it is a forest park and trees are all around. This is a special tree, a tree where the child’s pacifier/dummy’s goes when they are ready to give them up. Here is a photo from the Dummy Tree.
Think of all the hours off comfort on this branch, , I wonder if the children ever return to see the special place where they left it.

Winged Joy
Some Photo’s I took this morning while there was a brief sunny period, I love wildlife and when I have time I watch and photograph it.
Even half an hour in the garden can product a few shots. I find it very calming and relaxing to spend time around any animals. A couple of bird feeders and you have no end of photographic subjects, birds of all sizes and shape visit the garden.
I have found I can stand still and after a short time they ignore me, providing I don’t move suddenly. With seed falling to the ground and me scattering a little around, it’s also a chance for some ground shots.
So if you enjoy birds or other small animals, set up the right conditions and food and with a little time enjoy your own private viewing.

Parallel World
This was the view using a 17mm lens across Lough Sillan in County Cavan, Ireland today. The water was a mirror finish with out a ripple, I have never seen the lough so still. This photo does not do it justice, but it was a quick grab shot on my way to an appointment. Would have loved to spent the afternoon exploring the lough. Another day will come.

Water Logged
What a day here, with the low winter sun it looks beautiful outside. Until you step out and the gale force winds would chill you to the bone. So I went up through the Dromara Hills and on through the Mourne mountains. Stopped off at Spelga dam where the water level was high and with strong winds whipping white tops on the water. Hand holding and braced against a grass bank I got this shot.
