Light dance

Had this shot in my head for a while and with dusk dropping in and the light reflecting on the lough I had to stop. When there is no breeze the loughs turn to mirrors for a short time every evening and you can just see it starting here on the water.

Nobody Waiting

Wallace Park at 6.20am on a cold damp morning with the star’s shining in a clear sky. Just after this photo was taken. a group of joggers passed by and the dog walkers arrived. So a short chat with a couple wanting to know how I can take photo,s in the dark. It was time to pack up and head to work.

Street light

Due to early mornings being dark and the light is fading when going home the only time I can shoot is when its dusk or dawn. So have been out early some mornings while on my way to work. This way taken in a car park with the street lights illuminating the tree. With a long exposure and a light wind you can see movement in the branch’s and not the jogger that ran in front of the camera.

Rock-faces.

While looking at this scene I was amazed to see faces in the rock, ok I know its just light and shadows but to me they are there. Anyone else see them? Our you might see something different, like a lump of rock..
This was processed to mimic kodachrome 64 film. Well known for its punchy colours and loved by many 35 and 120 film photographers.

wire & wood

This old fence post caught my eye while out for a morning walk, the way the sun caught the texture of the wood and small highlights on the barbed wire. With a semi-rotten post and slack barbed wire this to me is just so Irish. Love it.

Autumn woodland

While out for a walk I came across this woodland, while it was a sunny day it had a cold wind blowing. I love the colours from the floor to the canopy tops.

Sunny oak

The low autumn sun was highlighting these oak leaves, I could almost hear them calling to be photographed.

Dromore Viaduct.

This viaduct is in Dromore, County Down, Northern Ireland. It stands 74 feet and is a Victorian viaduct which once carried the GNRI railway across the Lagan river. The railway closed in 1956 and the viaduct is now disused.
