Evening Sun

Evening sun broke through the rain clouds that were building up. It lasted a few minutes before the clouds closed in again.

Dark side

Got the waders on and waded out into the lough reeds. Standing thigh deep in the reeds I took this shoot. The silhouette gives a feel of the mystery that lies under the dark waters. The what if or whats in there.

A crock of gold.

They say here in Ireland that there’s a crock of gold at the rainbows end, but I feel we have our own crock of gold when I look over my back yard. with the sound of birds and the amount of wildlife to be seen. Then a rainbow frames it for me. Gold comes in many forms and we are blessed to have a crock full of it.

Dark tree

Noticed this very dark tree, it’s bark nearly black. Got this shot through the trees of its reflection in the lake.

Ancient spirit calls

By the lough I sit has a tear inches down and falls to the ancient ground. A tear for a jewel lost long ago, sister you can never be replaced. Looking through the reeds a mist rises from the water. Shooting forward it grips me like a heavy hand . I breath in the white mist and an ancient voice echoes in my head. Warmth fills my heart, rising to my feet I walk down to the still waters. Slowly I walk into the mist ,waters fill my person and I pass into the arms of the pass, present and future . There before me stands the jewel lost to me long ago, I reach to touch her. My hand touches her hand and I awake standing on the lough shore. A small stone in my hand, older than man . Echoes ring, you cannot touch the pass but it can touch you.
silent thought

When I saw this reed grass it brought images of people with there heads bowed in prayer or silent thought.

Still water

Came across this view by one of the local loughs when out for a walk. The light was from a low setting sun and not a breeze to be had. A beautiful evening.

Hi to all who have been kind enough to follow me on my daily trip in my 365 challenge.
For the next few weeks I can only post every few days due to a busy period in my life, but will continue to take a daily Photograph. I still enjoy reading your blogs and will do so and comment when I have an internet connection.
I would like to leave you with this photo taken off Lake Muckno in Castleblayney, Country Monaghan, Ireland.
