Black & white Wednesday

I took this photograph of Max about 4 years ago when I lived in County Monaghan here in Ireland. We would go on early morning walks around some of the local lough’s. He was in need of a trim has his wet muddy hair shows this up here. Just look at his face, eager to get back moving through the fields.

Wet and muddy, a happy dog.

Hope he is still enjoying his walks, been a few years since I last seen him.

Take care and stay safe.

George.

A Cold & Misty morning

So a misty morning greeted me with a heavy frost coating the world in fine jewels. Just me and the dog out for a morning stroll, with a 17-70 zoom on the camera we headed out. With the mist acting like a giant softbox the landscape soft on the eye, my old pal and I headed off down the road.

Yes this is a road, one of the many little L roads in Ireland.

A stop at one of the small loughs and it’s soft on the eye with the mist still down.

A beautiful morning in a grand part of Ireland where the pace is slow and the company great.

Thanks for dropping by.

Early morning walk

With the early morning sun and the dampness from the night still in the air I caught my old friend here in the wet grass with the low sun giving a reflective quality to the shot. Nothing beats an early morning walk on a morning like this.

Glad you could join me.

61/365 Shutter release Challenge

So the last day off 2015 is here and a new album starts tomorrow for 2016. That’s the first two months of the 365 challenge over and I am looking forward to the next ten. There will be a few hard months ahead before the weather brightens up and the days lengthen, opening up new opportunities and new subjects. So here’s today’s photograph, a style I don’t normally do but it’s the last day off the year.
