A wet evening and spotted a couple of thrush fledglings sitting in a hawthorn hedge.got a shot of one before it moved deeper into the hedge.

Was getting dark and I saw this fly. I was looking at flowers in my mothers garden when I saw this fly sitting one one. Shot with a 105 mm lens and a handheld flash with a small soft box fitted..

The rain swan.
Was passing a local lough and saw a couple of swans grazing in a field beside it. I pulled into a small car park beside them and was able to take this shot through the open side window. I run it in HDR in Photoshop where it helped to bring out the rain.

A crock of gold.
They say here in Ireland that there’s a crock of gold at the rainbows end, but I feel we have our own crock of gold when I look over my back yard. with the sound of birds and the amount of wildlife to be seen. Then a rainbow frames it for me. Gold comes in many forms and we are blessed to have a crock full of it.

Golden Fly
Loved the colour of this fellow here. Sitting in the evening sun I managed to get this shot before he took off. Shot with a 105mm macro’s lens hand held, I fired off a volley of shots with this being the sharpest .
