What’s happening on this site.

Here we are in March 2020 and I’m writing the first blog post of the year. It’s been a busy couple of years here in my world. Had and have some plans for the site for the start of the year but I’m a little behind, now we have the Coronavirus ( COIID-19) spreading across the world. With every aspect of life effected some of my projects might have to be sidelined for awhile depending on travel restrictions.

So I have been out a few times with the camera around the coast here in Northern Ireland, so below are some for the birds wintering here.

  1. Amazing how much one hears from your photograph, each a story I do believe
even as the world isolates itself more, I hope you have more chances to share your gift….
I love them all, though I did attempt to pick a favorite …
I had three white Herons fly over as I walked Dakota this morning, the Whistling (tree)ducks next,
and the Turkey Vulture flew through too πŸ™‚ we have more Kildeers this year, they make an interesting song? chatter? I always wonder who named them that(Kildeer) did some misunderstand and repeated it the way they heard it? I was curious about the “Barred tailed Godwits” what a name… πŸ™‚
anyways…Thank you for sharing you and your world… I enjoy wandering through here

    Be Well…Be Safe…..Take Care…….You Matter……….

    Blessings

  2. I’ve been getting out a bit more with the camera too but all else is restricted, public parks, shopping pubs etc etc. We toasted a Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day at home and listened to our CD’s we bought over there and had a lovely baileys cheesecake! lol. Your images are always wonderful.

    • Hi Cybele, it’s amazing the effect of a small deadly virus has had on the world and our daily routine in such a short time.
With my place of work temporarily closed I have been home for five weeks now. But with restrictions we can only leave home to food or medical shop, take one hour of exercise a day. I go out sunrise most mornings and just us my mobile/cell phone for photography. I then edit and post on my Instagram account when I finish.
Had a couple of new projects for my blogging which would have took me to every County in Ireland. Ireland will still be here waiting, just like us all at this time.
May you all stay safe and healthy.

    • Thank you, i have just spent a little time reading some of your blog posts.
      So from an older person.
      Happiness comes from within.
      Keep life simple.
      Love all living things.
      Nothing is permanent.
Nothing is good or bad, it’s only how you view it.
Love, hate, good, evil, black, white etc are just labels we put on things. Without them life is just life.
Knowledge is just knowledge it does not give you wisdom only experience can do that.
So be happy and love life.
      George.
